The BEST book for pregnancy and birth. I am currently pregnant and reading this book. It has an incredibly detailed table of contents and the book is split up into each trimester. It has so much wisdom from an experienced midwife who has been in this field for over 50 years. Every topic I could think of is covered in this book and so easy to find. This is the most informative birth book ever. This book is such a informative collection of 50 years of one of the best midwives i have ever known. The information is based on years of knowledge, and experience. MariMikel uses her knowledge and her deep spiritual guidance to bring such a enlightening birth experience. I am so happy she has put this Volume one out to the world, and more is to come. This book is inspiring, I hope it brings more awareness of home births, and brings more interest to pursue midwifery.

This really is the Book of Birth! I absolutely love this book. Twenty six years ago MariMikel Potter transformed my life by helping me deliver my daughter. SO informative! There’s a lot of books out there about pregnancy but none as thorough as this one! MariMikel shares over 50 years as a midwife, nurse and mother in this well written, easy to read, reference guide for all things conception, pregnancy and the birthing process! It’s a must read for anyone pregnant or wanting to get pregnant. And It’s a great gift for the holidays!

I loved every part of this book. I benefited from every piece of information, every story shared, all of it. If you are pregnant for the first time or fourth time I know this book would be supportive and empowering. I look forward to trying the recipes in the book also. I have tried a couple already and they were delicious!

I absolutely LOVED this book!! It is SO incredibly comprehensive and really has more than any other book I have ever read regarding not only pregnancy and birth but also conception and beyond. I have had 2 babies and been at many other births and I just cannot recommend this book enough to anyone that is pregnant or wanting to have a baby. She goes into so much depth and has something in there for anyone, no matter where or how they are wanting to give birth.
